Fostering
Foster homes are an integral part of our network. We are always in need of fosters to care for our many rescues till they are ready for their forever homes. It is a richly rewarding experience to know you have given the best start in life to an otherwise homeless cat or kitten. Many foster families enjoy staying in touch with the adoptive families after adoption and continue to watch their former fosters grow and thrive throughout the years.
We try to match our fosters to the foster home environment and your experience level so we can insure success. Fosters may be one or more of the following:
- Adult cats
- Pregnant or nursing mother cats
- Kittens only
- Bottle fed kittens without mothers (must be experienced)
- Feral (wild or shy) kittens and cats in need of socialization
We fully support our foster homes but have limited funds. You may be asked to manage food and litter supplies while the animals are in your care but any medical expenses deemed necessary will be covered at no cost to you. Cages, bedding, food bowls and litter pans will be provided if requested.
